The best way to get around Zurich and Switzerland is by using public transport. We recommend downloading the SBB Mobile App — it’s available in English, super easy to use, and lets you buy train, tram, and bus tickets directly with your credit or debit card.
This option saves time and helps you avoid ticket machines. Just open the app, type your destination, and you’re ready to go!

About hotels recommendations; we can't be sure about your exact budget, but we can suggest a few places around Schlieren:
For something affordable, Hotel Tivoli or Landgasthof Leuen are good options and nearby. If you're looking for something a bit fancier, there's Hilton Garden Inn Zurich Limmattal, which is just a short distance away. -
As an EU citizen, you're allowed to work in Switzerland for up to 8 days per calendar year without needing a special permit.

If you wish to work for more than 8 days, you’ll need to register as self-employed online. We can provide you with the link to complete this. Additionally, you must register for the A1 permit.
Here are the steps you must take:
1. Register as self-employed: Even for a temporary stay, it’s required to register as self-employed in Switzerland. This involves filling out a form with a compensation fund (AHV) to contribute to the Swiss social security system. The process may vary depending on the canton, so it’s recommended to contact the relevant authority in the canton where the work will be carried out. More information can be found here.

The A1 certificate can be applied for at the relevant authority in the country of residence. More information is available here.
